Sailing inside Marine Parks

The Oceans entertain 75% of the known living species. The greatest bio-difference, the contemporary presence of a lot of animal and vegetable varieties, is present in the coastal area up to the sea depth of around 200 meters.

This delicate environment, especially in Mediterranean, is strongly threatened by the human  activities both to earth that in sea.

Pollution, fishing, commercial and recreational navigation, practice a pressure on the environment no longer bearable. The breakup of the delicate natural equilibriums among the animal and vegetable species in sea ecosystem risks to jeopardize in irreparable way the bio-diversity to the origin of the sea organisms life.

  
Hydrocarbons, organic refusals, plastics and every other introduction of extraneous elements in the original habitat brings serious damages to the environment. A simple stub of cigarette is eliminated after some years and the plastic objects, very more resistant, they provoke every year the verified death of around 2 million birds and of around 100.000 sea mammals (UNESCO data).
 

Marine Parks and Protected Marine Areas represent an attempt to preserve particularly interesting places for their environmental and landscape characteristics, but above all for the wealth of their biological and faunistic patrimony (bio-diversity).
 

The philosophy that has brought to the birth of Marine Parks and Protected Marine Areas is to limit the anthropical pressure bearable levels from the ecosystem, through the regulation of the various activities developed (fishing, navigation, anchorage and mooring, touristic activities etc.).

Asinara Yachting is particularly sensitive to the respect of the environment. Our yachts are to the state-of-the-art for the antipollution endowments (low emission engines, holding tanks etc.), and our skippers are specifically formed, through special courses, for  navigation in the Marine Parks and Protected Marine Areas.

We suggest you to choice the periods of medium and low season for your cruise, to fully appreciate the charm of the places, without the overcrowding typical of the high season. During the navigation our skippers will give you interesting information about  mammals,  sea birds, fish species and sea biology, making still more interesting the stirring sailing in the Parks.
